UPDATE @ 3:48 p.m. Monday: The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the State College area. It will be in effect from 7 p.m. Monday to 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to a posting on AccuWeather.com. The latest weather forecasts suggest that light snow late Monday will turn into sleet or freezing rain by Tuesday morning. Drivers should be ready for slippery roads and limited visibility, according to the advisory.

Freezing rain may arrive in the State College area Tuesday morning and could prompt school delays, according to the latest AccuWeather.com forecast.
It says a little snow is expected starting Monday night and will probably bring a light accumulation. By Tuesday morning, though, that precipitation is likely to switch over to sleet and freezing rain, according to AccuWeather.com.
The high Monday is expected to be just 23 degrees; Tuesday, 36 degrees.
More light snow could return to the area on Wednesday, AccuWeather.com noted. Another chance for snow is anticipated Friday.
