UPDATED: Fischer Road Has Reopened; Gravel Fills Sinkhole-Like Dip

UPDATED @ 5:45 p.m. Monday: The university Office of Physical Plant finished work on the hole under Fischer Road about 11 a.m. today. It’s been filled with gravel, and the roadway has reopened. Patching on the road will be completed later, according to OPP.

Fischer Road in the area of the Nittany Park Deck has been closed this morning, Penn State announced.

University Park crews are working on a sinkhole-like indentation in the ground there, according to the university.

The road should reopen by noon, Penn State reported.
