UPDATED @ 7:51 p.m. Tuesday: Beyond school board members, administrators and a reporter, no one turned out Tuesday evening for the annual State College Area School District public budget hearing. A board vote on the budget is slated for June 28.

Residents can weigh in tonight on the State College school board’s proposed budget for the 2010-2011 year.

The annual budget hearing is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the State College Area School District administration building, 131 W. Nittany Ave. It will include a detailed presentation about the spending plan.

Total expenses in the budget are listed at $112.9 million. The budget also includes a three-percent property-tax increase, which would mean a tax-bill increase of $75 for the average homeowner.

A final board vote on the budget is scheduled for June 28. More complete information is available on the school district’s website.
