It’s shaping up to be a busy fall in the Bryce Jordan Center. Venue management announced Friday that comedic ventriloquist Jeff Dunham will perform alongside his ‘cast‘ of puppets as part of his ‘Perfectly Unbalanced’ Tour. The show, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m., will be Dunham’s fourth visit to the BJC.
Dunham’s specialty is comedy through the assistance of ventriloquism, an art which many argue he revived. His routines include current events and general stand-up comedy and his characters are politically incorrect. He performs sets worldwide and has appeared on Comedy Central, The Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show. Dunham’s tour has been selling out consistently so far, and the ventriloquist even holds the record for the most tickets sold on a stand-up comedy tour.
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, July 15 at 10 a.m. at the BJC, Eisenhower, the Downtown Theatre, Ticketmaster.com, and by phone at 800-745-3000. Students are eligible for both a pre-sale and a student discount. Tickets for students go on sale on Tuesday, July 13 and are $26.50 thanks to a discount from the University Park Allocation Committee. Students can buy tickets in person at the above locations or utilize the Ticketmaster account manager to get the discount with a valid Penn State student ID. Other tickets run at $51 a pop.
So far this is the seventh event announced at the Jordan Center for the fall semester, including KISS, Kanye West, Theresa Caputo, the Impractical Jokers, Rascal Flatts, and WWE Live!
