Friends and family will host a candlelight vigil at Old Main Tuesday night to honor the life of Penn State student Stephanie Inman, who passed away unexpectedly Friday from a pulmonary embolism.
Inman, of Lebanon, Pa., was an 18-year-old freshman majoring in biology and according to her obituary intended to become a dentist. She was involved with Penn State Homecoming along with her sister Barbara. She also enjoyed participation in THON’s OPP Committee, the Pre-Dental Society, and was the Special Events Chair for the Wrestling Affiliate Club.
The vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. and candles will be provided or attendees can bring their own. Katie Gaisor and Stephanie’s sister Barabara who are hosting the event, also welcome attendees to bring flowers to place on a memorial honoring all Penn State students that have passed away.
In addition to the vigil, Inman’s family is asking that memorial contributions be made to THON, crediting THON OPPerations, or to the Stephanie Inman Memorial Scholarship.
