A water main break is impacting service in downtown State College on Monday afternoon.
According to a release from the borough, the break occurred on Humes Alley between East Calder Way and East Beaver Avenue.
State College Borough Water Authority crews were on the scene as of 2:30 p.m. and shut off water in the area to repair the break.
Nearby Webster’s Bookstore and Cafe reported on Facebook that its cafe was closed because of the shutoff, but the bookstore is otherwise open.
