A 25-year-old Clinton County woman died after single-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on Route 45 in Haines Township, according to state police at Rockview.
Hali M. Harpster, of Mill Hall, was a passenger in the 2011 Toyota Rav 4 and sustained fatal injuries after it struck several trees.
Police wrote in a crash report that 28-year-old Travis L. Bennett, of Mill Hall, was driving the vehicle westbound on Route 45/Penns Valley Road near Mountain Avenue at about 12:40 p.m. when it began to leave the northern side of the roadway.
After leaving the road, the vehicle first struck a small tree then continued traveling west, striking several other trees. The last impact caused the vehicle to go airborne and spin a quarter turn before finally coming to rest on the northern side of the roadway, according to the crash report.
Harpster was taken by Penns Valley EMS to Evangelical Community in Lewisburg, but was pronounced dead.
Bennett sustained minor injuries, according to police. He was cited for failing to drive on roadways laned for traffic.
Millheim Fire Company and Pleasant Gap Fire Company EMS also responded to the scene.
