Penn State’s recruiting pool continues to get raided following James Franklin’s firing, with a pair of former pledges announcing new plans on Tuesday night.
Three-star prospect Isaac Chukwurah flipped his commitment from the Nittany Lions to Miami, while three-star offensive tackle Jack Fuchs committed to Northwestern.
Chukwurah hadn’t previously decommitted from the Nittany Lions, though he’d begun taking a series of visits after Franklin was fired by Penn State. He took trips to NC State and Miami and had scheduled others to West Virginia and Syracuse for the coming weeks, though it’s unclear if he still intends to make those visits.
Chukwurah ranks as the No. 2 prospect in Delaware, No. 60 defensive lineman and No. 506 overall player in the 2026 class, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
Fuchs, who had decommitted on Oct. 20, ranks as the No. 20 Tennessee prospect, No. 43 offensive tackle and No. 483 overall recruit. He will head to a different Big Ten institution with the Wildcats, who defeated Penn State 22-21 earlier this season.
With Chukwurah’s decommitment, the Nittany Lions’ class tumbled to just 14 total members and is now ranked No. 31 nationally, with more departures likely.
