Jahan Dotson is on his way back to Pennsylvania. The former Penn State star wide receiver has been traded from the Washington Commanders to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Commanders will receive a 2025 third-round pick and two seventh-round picks for Dotson and a fifth-round pick.

A first-round NFL Draft selection in 2022, Dotson will join another former Nittany Lion, running back Saquon Barkley, in Philadelphia. He’ll also reunite with college teammates linebacker Brandon Smith and defensive tackle P.J. Mustipher.

Dotson had been one of Washington’s top offensive weapons over the past two seasons. He tallied a career-high 49 receptions in 2024, with 518 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

An All-American selection with the Nittany Lions in 2021, Dotson ranks second all-time in Penn State career receptions and receiving touchdowns.

He joined the Nittany Lions as a four-star recruit from Nazareth, a town located just 75 miles from Philadelphia.

Dotson should fit in nicely alongside Eagles wide receivers A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith. The trio likely makes up one of the league’s top receiving corps.
