Penn State dropped three spots but remained in the top 10 of the latest AP Top 25 poll released on Sunday following the Nittany Lions’ first loss of the season.
The Nittany Lions checked in at No. 10 after falling 20-12 on Saturday to Ohio State, which remained at No. 3 behind No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Michigan. Penn State will host the Wolverines on Nov. 11.
No other current Big Ten teams are ranked. Rutgers and Wisconsin were among teams receiving votes.
Florida State, future Big Ten member Washington and Oklahoma rounded out the top six, which remained unchanged from last week. Also checking in ahead of Penn State in the top 10 are No. 7 Texas and future Big Ten peer No. 8 Oregon, which each rose one spot, and No. 9 Alabama, which moved up two places.
Penn State will look to rebound on Saturday when it hosts Indiana for a noon kickoff on CBS.
