Penn State fans hoping to get their hands on some custom Nittany Lion jerseys while helping student-athletes in the process will be able to do so through Fanatics following the release of a new line of jerseys. The NIL release will send an undisclosed portion of the sales from each jersey to the respective player represented on said jersey.

As of Thursday afternoon, true freshmen quarterback Drew Allar and senior safety Ji’Ayir Brown are the only two Nittany Lions with ready made jerseys through the site. A drop-down menu under a pick-a-player option allows you to select nearly any player on Penn State’s current roster although quarterback Sean Clifford and true freshman running back Nicholas Singleton are two notably absent players from the list.

Generally speaking, NIL deals made individually or through university arrangements have not been announced publicly and most NIL details are not required to be made public. In turn it is difficult to know why the likes of Clifford – whose brother Liam’s jersey is available for purchase – or Singleton are omitted from the site. During the initial announcement of the product line in February, Fanatics noted that student-athletes would be given the tools to opt-in to the arrangement if interested.

A jersey currently sells for $139 with an site-wide 25% off sale ongoing. Penn State is currently listed in the Top 12 of NIL sales on the Fanatics website.
