Penn State football’s Oct. 1 home game against Northwestern will kick off at 3:30 p.m., according to updates from both programs and the Big Ten on Monday.
The game will air on ESPN or ABC.
For the Nittany Lions, the contest is now one of three known kickoff times for the remainder of the season. This Saturday’s game against Central Michigan will start at noon and air on the Big Ten Network, while the White Out showdown with Minnesota for Homecoming on Oct. 22 will kick at 7:30 p.m. with the TV network still to be determined.
Kick off times have yet to be announced for Penn State’s games against Michigan (Oct. 15), Ohio State (Oct. 29), Indiana (Nov. 5), Maryland (Nov. 12), Rutgers (Nov. 19) and Michigan State (Nov. 26).
Coming off a 41-12 victory at Auburn on Saturday, Penn State is 3-0 and ranked No. 14 in the nation heading into this week’s game against the Chippewas.
Northwestern is 1-2 with a season-opening win over Nebraska in Ireland followed by losses to Duke and Southern Illinois. The Wildcats host Miami (Ohio) at 7:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday before traveling to State College next week.
