Penn State football moved up one spot to No. 9 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll released on Sunday.
The Nittany Lions’ No. 9-ranking comes following a 33-24 victory over Indiana 33-24 on Saturday at Beaver Stadium. They previously dropped three spots to No. 10 after falling 20-12 against Ohio State in Columbus last week.
Penn State jumped Oklahoma, which fell to No. 10, after the Sooners’ 38-33 defeat at the hand of then-unranked Kansas. The Jayhawks are now ranked No. 22.
Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State and Washington hold the top five without any changes from last week, followed by Texas, Oregon, Alabama and Penn State to round out the top nine spots.
Penn State’s next game, against Maryland, is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at SECU Stadium in College Park, Maryland. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
