Early in the summer, there aren’t any major surprises for Penn State football secondary market ticket prices, with Ohio State’s clash against the Nittany Lions coming in as the most expensive ticket on the home slate.
That likely pivotal clash on Nov. 2 is currently seeing single ticket prices of $250 on Ticketmaster, not including fees. As per usual — during what has become an annual summer coverage tradition — StateCollege.com is opting to list the lowest single ticket price available on Ticketmaster. In some cases two tickets paired together might feature lower prices per ticket, but a larger overall value.
Nevertheless, on the other end of the scale, a single ticket will cost you just $29 to see Penn State play Bowling Green in its home opener on Sept. 7, just a week removed from traveling to Morgantown for a noon clash against West Virginia. The cheapest single ticket to that game going for just shy of $300 as Penn State makes a somewhat rare out-of-conference trip to open up the season. That figure is roughly $100 more than Penn State’s season opener last year against the Mountaineers.
Penn State’s first clash at Beaver Stadium against a new Big Ten program, when UCLA visits on Oct. 5, will cost you $162, while national runner-up Washington will bring an entirely new team to town on Nov. 9. Between Ohio State the previous week and Washington’s completely new coaching staff and roster, those tickets are bit cheaper than you might expect, with $92 enough to get you in the door.
Elsewhere, the Big Ten opener against Illinois on Sept. 28 will run you $65, while the regular season home finale against Maryland on Nov. 30 will set you back just $35.
