Penn State football moved up two spots to No. 14 in the latest AP Top 25 poll released on Sunday.

The Nittany Lions rebounded from their second loss of the season with a 45-14 shellacking of Indiana on Saturday in Bloomington.

Penn State is now 7-2 on the season, with its losses coming to the AP Poll’s No. 2 and No. 3 teams. Ohio State remained the nation’s second-ranked team, behind No. 1 Georgia, after a 21-7 win over Northwestern, while Michigan moved up one spot to No. 3 after a 52-17 victory at Rutgers.

Illinois is the only other ranked Big Ten team, falling seven spots to No. 21 following a 23-15 loss to Michigan State on Saturday. No other Big Ten teams received votes.

Across the nation, the top 10 saw a shakeup as Tennessee dropped three places to No. 5 after its first defeat of the season at the hands of the top-ranked Bulldogs. Clemson fell from No. 5 to No. 12 following a loss to Notre Dame, which re-entered the poll at No. 20. Alabama fell four spots to No. 10, while LSU jumped eight spots to No. 7 after dealing the Crimson Tide their second loss of the season. Alabama and LSU are the only two-loss teams in the AP’s top 10.

The Tennessee, Clemson and Alabama losses allowed TCU to move up from No. 7 to No. 4. A trio of Pac-12 teams also got a boost within the top 10, with Oregon now at No. 6, USC at No. 8 and UCLA at No. 9.

The College Football Playoff rankings should see significant movement when they are released on Tuesday. Tennessee had been ranked No. 1 and Clemson No. 4 in the first CFP rankings last week, both sure to change this week. Ohio State and Georgia were No. 2 and 3, respectively.

Penn State was No. 15 in last week’s CFP rankings and figures to move up this week.

On the field, the Nittany Lions return home next weekend to take on Maryland at 3:30 p.m. on Fox. The Terrapins are 6-3 following a 23-10 loss on Saturday at Wisconsin.
