Penn State is officially set to return one of its top overall players at USC on Saturday.
Running back Nick Singleton, the team’s leading rusher, has been ruled active, per the Big Ten’s availability report. Singleton was sidelined with an injury against UCLA last weekend.
Singleton’s availability should be a massive boost for the Nittany Lions, who rushed for a season-low 85 yards in his absence against the Bruins.
It appears another offensive starter, right tackle Anthony Donkoh is also set to return to action on Saturday. Donkoh exited in the first quarter against UCLA with what appeared to be a shoulder injury. He practiced on Wednesday and was left off the availability report.
Kaden Saunders, the team’s primary punt returner, has been ruled out for a second consecutive week. Zion Tracy handled returning duties in his place last weekend, and is likely to again, especially with reserve punt returner Jake Spencer also ruled inactive.
