After an idle week, Penn State is set for primetime. The Nittany Lions’ Oct. 26 road matchup at Wisconsin will kick off at 7:30 p.m. EDT (6:30 p.m. local), with broadcasting designated to NBC. It will mark the Nittany Lions’ second night game so far this season and first of such on the road.

Penn State enters the bye week and ultimately its game against the Badgers with a 6-0 record, its latest win being a 33-30 overtime thriller at USC this past Saturday.

Wisconsin has won each of its past two games since a 38-21 loss to the Trojans on Sept. 28. The Badgers, in their second season under head coach Luke Fickell, currently own a 4-2 record and most recently dominated Rutgers for a 42-7 victory this past weekend.

James Franklin’s Nittany Lions entered the top three of the AP Top 25 poll for the first time since 2017 after their win over USC. Entering an idle week, it’s unclear where exactly they’ll be ranked when they travel to Wisconsin, but should be among the nation’s top teams.

Penn State will become Wisconsin’s second ranked opponent this season. The Badgers previously hosted Alabama, now ranked No. 7 in the country, and fell 42-10.

The last time the Nittany Lions played the Badgers on the road, they escaped with a 16-10 victory thanks to interceptions by Jaquan Brisker and Ji’Ayir Brown on two consecutive fourth-quarter drives .

If Penn State is to beat Wisconsin again, it’s possible that it could set up a top-five matchup with Ohio State, currently ranked No. 4, in Beaver Stadium on Nov. 2.
