Don’t let Matt Campbell get hot.

Penn State secured a commitment from three-star quarterback Kase Evans on Sunday afternoon, the team’s third commitment of the day and fourth of the Campbell era.

Evans is listed as the No. 60 quarterback, No. 158 Texas prospect and No. 1,154 overall recruit in the 2026 class, per the 247Sports composite rankings. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 198 pounds and becomes the fourth former Iowa State signee to flip to the Nittany Lions.

Penn State also gathered commitments from three-star safeties Bryson Williams and Tyrell Chatman and three-star punter Lucas Tenbrock since Saturday. The newcomers join four-star quarterback Peyton Falzone and four-star edge rusher Jackson Ford, who put pen to paper on Early National Signing Day.

The Nittany Lions’ class has jolted up to No. 133 nationally, with more reinforcements likely on the way.
