Following the conclusion of this weekend’s NFL Draft, Penn State heard the names of six different Nittany Lions called over the course of the proceedings to mark the official start to the beginning of their professional careers. In total Joey Porter Jr., Brenton Strange, Juice Scruggs, Parker Washington, Sean Clifford and Ji’Ayir Brown were all drafted over the course of the seven round event.

But for the rest? Now comes the time to sign undrafted free agent deals. While the money and job security can be less guaranteed than those who sign rookie deals, in a sense the opportunity to sign with a team, rather than be drafted by one, can offer some situational flexibility. No matter what though, drafted or signed as a free agent, it’s the next step in a lifelong journey for all of these former Nittany Lions.

Here are the known free agent signings so far. This list will be updated as signings occur.

  • Long snapper Chris Stoll is headed to the Seattle Seahawks.
  • Linebacker and safety Jonathan Sutherland will join Chris Stoll in Seattle.
  • Defensive tackle PJ Mustipher was signed as a free agent by the Denver Broncos.
  • Receiver and Western Kentucky transfer Mitchell Tinsley was reportedly signed by the Washington Commanders, where he will join former Penn State star receiver Jahan Dotson.
