Penn State’s Berkey Creamery recently introduced a new dairy-free option.
Dairy-free sorbet is now available in lemon and cherry flavors, which which will rotate in scooping availability, according to a news release.
The sorbets are only available for scooping in store — alternating in the dipping cabinet throughout the year — and in three-gallon tubs for purchase online.
James Brown, the manager of sales and marketing at the Berkey Creamery, is excited for the release of the new options.
“We’ve been listening to our customers’ feedback and are thrilled to introduce our new dairy-free options,” Brown said. “Our product-development team has been working hard on creating the best dairy-free option that aligns with our high standards for both quality and taste. We can’t wait for our customers to try their first scoops.”
Consisting of frozen fruit juice or flavored water and sugar, sorbet is a fat-free frozen dessert known for having fewer calories than ice cream.A full list of the new sorberts’ ingredients is available on the Creamery’s website.
