A Penn State graduate will appear in the next season of a beloved reality television show.
Cara Ammon, 27, will compete in the upcoming season of “The Bachelor,” according to the program’s website. Along with 29 other contestants, the Pittsburgh native will contend for the love interest of Zach Shallcross, the show’s new bachelor who competed in the previous season of “The Bachelorette.”
According to her official “Bachelor” biography, Ammon hopes to find true love in the upcoming season after coming up empty through dating apps and matchmaker setups.
“Cara has tried dating apps and being set up, but she is way more excited about this new, unique opportunity to find love with Zach,” Ammon’s online biography reads. “When she isn’t hustling in the office, she’s jamming out to Justin Bieber while walking around New York City. Cara is hoping to meet an ambitious and intelligent man and hopes she feels sparks flying with Zach!”
A short list of “fun facts” says Ammon is a lover of Christmas music, a hater of public littering and an enthusiastic meal planner (but not a cook).
Ammon graduated from Penn State in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management, according to her LinkedIn page. While studying at University Park, the upcoming “Bachelor” contest served as a member of Penn State’s Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority chapter.
Ammon currently works as a recruiter out of J.P. Morgan’s New York City office. Her previous career stops included recruitment roles with Goldman Sachs and Guggenheim Partners.
Season 27 of “The Bachelor” will premiere at 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23 on ABC. Episodes are also available for next-day streaming on Hulu.
