Penn State football will face Ohio State under the lights once again as the No. 7 Nittany Lions and No. 5 Buckeyes will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 30 in Columbus, the Big Ten announced on Monday afternoon.

The game will air on ABC.

The meeting marks the third time this season that the Nittany Lions have played at night, with a week three victory over Auburn and a shutout win against Indiana at Beaver Stadium both coming in primetime.

Despite the high profile nature of the meeting, Penn State and Ohio State haven’t played at night in Columbus since 2015, with the 2017 and 2019 iterations of the series both in the afternoon. Penn State has not played in front of a Beaver Stadium home crowd in the series since 2018 with the 2020 clash taking place at an empty Beaver Stadium during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Buckeyes are currently 5-1 on the season and are the highest-ranked Big Ten team in the AP Top 25 with Michigan coming in at No. 6 while Michigan State snuck into the top 10 at No. 9. Ohio State’s only loss is to Oregon earlier in the year.

Iowa fell from the No. 2 spot all the way down to No. 11 following a loss to Purdue this past weekend. Ohio State is coming off of a bye week and will travel to face Indiana in Bloomington this Saturday.

Penn State hosts Illinois at noon on Saturday.
