Penn State football’s 3:30 p.m. meeting with Northwestern next weekend will air on ESPN, the program announced on Sunday morning. The Nittany Lions are coming off a 33-14 victory over Central Michigan this past Saturday to improve to 4-0 on the year. Northwestern dropped to 1-3 on the year after falling 17-14 to Miami (Ohio) on Saturday.

True freshman running back Kaytron Allen registered his first career 100-yard rushing game, racking up 111 yards and a touchdown on just 13 carries against the Chippewas. The outing gave Penn State its third-straight game with a 100-yard rusher. In total the Nittany Lions racked up 166 yards on the ground while quarterback Sean Clifford put together a 22-of-34 passing day for 217 yards and three touchdowns. Penn State’s defense and special teams forced four turnovers on the afternoon en route to the eventual victory.

This coming Saturday’s game airing on ESPN will mark the fifth broadcast network the Nittany Lions have been on through five games. Penn State has made appearances on CBS, FOX, the Big Ten Network and ABC this season. Times and TV designations for future games will be announced at a later date. As of Sunday, only Penn State’s meeting with Minnesota has a time — that game will kick at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 at Beaver Stadium.
