If you’re looking for something to balance out the end of your Halloween week, catching a show at the Bryce Jordan Center might be just the ticket.
This Thursday, Nov. 2, the All-American Rejects, The Starting Line, The Format, and Gym Class Heroes will be performing at the BJC at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Tournado Tour 2006.
The All-American Rejects from Stillwater, OK will offer fans a sound that fuses modern power pop music with drum loops, rock guitar, and infectious melodies and harmonies.
The Starting Line is a four-piece pop punk/emo band from the Philadelphia area. They played the Bryce Jordan Center in 2004 with Yellowcard.
The Format is a self-described “desert pop” band from Peoria, AZ. They draw influence from 1960s music, and in turn craft their own spirited indie pop melodies.
Gym Class Heroes is an inventive new group from upstate New York. They are a five-piece hip-hop band that uses live instruments and musicians rather than conventional looped samples and canned beats.
Tickets are still available for the concert. University Park students can purchase general admission tickets for $23.00 at the Bryce Jordan Ticket Center, Hetzel Union Building at the National Red Cross Blood Drive, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Tickets Downtown, or at Ticketmaster Online. Lion Cash is accepted at the Bryce Jordan Ticket Center and the HUB.
For the general public, tickets cost $25.00 and are available at all of the above locations.
Doors open at 6 p.m.
