,

On one of those nice days last week, I took a book and sat on my back stoop to read for a bit.  Reading outside is one of my favorite activities.  With it being light so much later in the evening, there seems to be more incentive to get out of the house, and that includes going off to meet other readers.

Mystery lovers might want to check out Agatha Christie Trivia night at Barnes and Noble on April 3, 7 pm. Prizes will be awarded for Christie trivia buffs, including eight of her books and a special collection tote bag. At the same time, the Mystery Group will be discussing Christie’s The Mruder of Roger Ackroyd.

Wanna-be screenwriters will be interested in the April 10 meeting of the Nittany Valley Writers Network, 7 pm in the Community Room of Schlow Library.

On April 17, the public is invited to Schlow Library to discuss Cloud Atlas by Liam Callanan at 2:30 pm in the Community Room.

Mondays in April, B&N’s inspirational book group will be discussing A Day with a Perfect Stranger by David Gregory.  This group meets each Monday morning at 9.

Teachers and Media Specialists are invited to an appreciation breakfast from 9-11 am on April 28 at B&N.  It’s an opportunity to find out about new programs for next school year.  It is also the kick-off of Educator Appreciation Week, where educators get a discount on book purchases.
