The National Weather Service at State College has issued a winter weather advisory for Centre County with snow expected to move into the area on Friday night.
Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are possible between 7 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, according to the advisory.
AccuWeather is forecasting a total accumulation of 1 to 3 inches for the State College area, as of 1:50 p.m. on Friday. The heaviest snowfall is expected around 8 p.m. and in the early morning hours, according to AccuWeather’s Wintercast.
Drivers should plan on slippery travel conditions.
A chance of snow showers will persist into Saturday evening.
