Centre County reported 73 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday to bring its total to 12,394, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Pennsylvania added 3,413 cases, bringing the statewide total to 902,650.
The county also had 213 additional negative test results, increasing its total to 59,778. Across Pennsylvania there were 7,922 new negatives for a total of 3,791,021.
DOH reported no new deaths attributed to the virus among Centre County residents, keeping the county’s total at 206.
With 193 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide on Wednesday, Pennsylvania’s total is now 23,319.
Mount Nittany Medical Center is treating 13 COVID-19 inpatients as of Wednesday morning, one more than on Tuesday. The patients range in age from 25 to 85, according to a hospital spokesperson.
The statewide decline in COVID-19 hospitalizations continued on Wednesday. Across Pennsylvania, 2,174 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, including 465 in intensive care and 271 on ventilators.
An estimated 88% of COVID-19 patients in the state have recovered, per a health department calculation.
A total of 19,426 people in Centre County have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, including 4,615 who are fully covered with both required doses, according to health department data last updated on Tuesday.
Among Pennsylvania’s total cases, 779,638 are confirmed and 123,012 are probable. In Centre County, 11,459 are confirmed and 935 are probable.
