Centre County reported 84 new COVID-19 cases on Friday to bring its total to 13,749, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Pennsylvania added 3,455 positives, bringing its total to 980,302.
The county also had 132 additional negative test results, increasing its total to 63,569. Across Pennsylvania, there were 9,078 new negatives for a total of 4,036,426.
DOH reported no new deaths attributed to the virus among Centre County residents, keeping the total at 213.
With 35 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide, Pennsylvania’s total is 24,741.
Mount Nittany Medical Center is treating 19 COVID-19 inpatients as of Friday morning, five more than on Thursday. The patients range in age from 44 to 90, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Since March 1, the hospital has had an average daily census of 15 COVID-19 inpatients. In February, that figure was 18 per day and in January it was 41 per day.
Statewide, 1,548 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, including 317 in intensive care and 170 on ventilators.
Centre County nursing and personal care homes added one COVID-19 case among residents. A total of 17 long-term care facilities in the county have had a combined 723 resident cases, 151 employee cases and 163 resident deaths.
An estimated 92% of COVID-19 patients in the state have recovered, per a health department calculation.
A total of 35,579 people in Centre County have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The total includes 21,965 who are fully covered with both required doses, according to health department data.
Among Pennsylvania’s total cases, 838,446 are confirmed and 141,856 are probable. In Centre County, 12,551 are confirmed and 1,198 are probable.
