STATE COLLEGE — Penn State has opened the window for season ticket holders to reserve seats for the potential College Football Playoff game at Beaver Stadium. This comes with just two games left on the schedule — Minnesota on Saturday, Nov. 23, and Maryland on Saturday, Nov. 30.

The four possible playoff games that Beaver Stadium could host are Friday, Dec. 20, at 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 21, noon, 4 p.m. or 8 p.m. This will be decided by television companies following the announcement of the final rankings. Teams seeded five through eight will host the games.

According to an email sent to ticket season holders, Penn State fans can purchase their usual seats for the playoff game. The deadline to purchase a ticket for these seats is Friday, Nov. 22, at 11:59 p.m.

Per The Athletic, in August, the CFP committee released an 87-page manual to schools on how to prepare and run a home playoff game smoothly. This included set ticket prices for all schools.

General tickets will range from $100 to $250. This does not include suites or the student section.

The CFP will take all revenue from ticket sales while the hosting school receives the money from concessions and parking. The traveling team will receive a stipend in an attempt to even out the revenues from the two teams.

It is expected that the normal allotment of 21,000 student tickets will still be made available for $25 each, according to The Athletic.

Penn State’s semester ends on Friday, Dec. 13, with finals ending on Friday, Dec. 20. Unlike in years past, the University plans to leave housing and dining halls open until Sunday, Dec. 22, to accommodate students that plan to stay for the game.

More information about student tickets is expected to be released by the school in the coming weeks.
