Harvest Fest — Thursday, Sept. 19

Harvest Fest will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, at University Park’s Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross Student Farm. The ninth annual festival will celebrate the fall season with farm-fresh food, animals, crafts and more. The event is free and open to the public. There will be a free event bus offered for Harvest Fest near the Berkey Creamery, running continuously from 3:45 to 7:15 p.m. Free succulents will be available for Penn State students.

Snow Shoe Fall Festival — Saturday, Sept. 21

The Snow Shoe Fall Festival and Car Show will be on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Snow Shoe Park in Snow Shoe. The event is dedicated to honoring veterans with funds benefitting the repair of veteran memorials and the construction of new ones.

Fall Harvest Festival — Sunday, Sept. 22

University Wine Company’s Fall Harvest Wine and Craft Festival will be from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, at University Wine Company in State College. Guests are invited to enjoy food, wine and more.

Autumn Street Fair and Soup Sale — Thursday, Sept. 26

There will be an Autumn Street Fair and Soup Sale from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, at Juniper Village at Brookline in State College. There will be local vendors and crafts for sale as well as a petting zoo hosted by Snuggles and Snouts Petting Zoo. Homemade soup is also available for purchase by the bowl or by quart to go. All soup sale proceeds will go toward the Alzheimer’s Association.

Tussey Mountain OktoberFest — Friday, Sept. 27

Celebrate the changing of the seasons at Tussey Mountain OktoberFest from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, at Tussey Mountain Resort in Boalsburg. Surrounded by nature, guests are invited to enjoy music, food and more. There will be a selection of Oktoberfest beers along with some local favorites, as well as a menu of German and Austrian food. Wear your dirndl and lederhosen.

Millheim Oktoberfest — Saturday, Sept. 28

The 12th annual Millheim Oktoberfest will be from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Millheim Fire Company #1 in Millheim. There will be authentic German food, beer and music. The event benefits the Millheim Fire Company.

Pumpkin Harvest — Friday, Sept. 27 through Sunday, Sept. 29

The Heirloom Farmer is inviting the community to its Pumpkin Harvest event from Friday, Sept. 27, through Sunday, Sept. 29, at the farm in Port Matilda. The pumpkin patch this year features more than 12 varieties of fun, funky and traditional pumpkins that guests can harvest themselves.

The fourth annual Titan Market Harvest and Fiber Fest will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, at Titan Market in Bellefonte. There will be a lot to do including vendors, food, music and more.

Haunted Lake Loop Hike — Saturday, Oct. 5

The Haunted Lake Loop Hike will be from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Black Moshannon State Park in Philipsburg. Guests are invited to enjoy a good scare and laughs. Candy will be available for kids.

Dutch Fall Festival — Saturday, Oct. 5, and Sunday, Oct. 6

The annual Dutch Fall Festival is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, and Sunday, Oct. 6, in downtown Aaronsburg. There will be crafts, art, antiques, vendors, homemade treats, food, educational demonstrations, children’s activities and a quilt raffle.

Second Annual Boal City Oktoberfest 5K Trail Race — Sunday, Oct. 6

The Second Annual Boal City Oktoberfest 5K Trail Race will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, at Boal City Brewing in Boalsburg. Kids 12 and younger can run with their friends and parents on the Mini Monster Trail Loop. Dress up for the race to show off your spooky side. Participants 21 and older will get a brew to keep the Halloween spirit going after the run.

Downtown State College Fall Fest — Saturday, Oct. 12

The Downtown State College Fall Fest is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, along South Allen Street in downtown State College. There will be free pumpkins for kids from Martin’s Garden Center Pumpkin Patch, with a pumpkin painting activity sponsored by Growing Trees Toys. There will also be food, pony rides, games, face painting, a photo station and more. The Youth Service Bureau, local nonprofits and local family organizations will have activities for kids as well.

The Bellefonte YMCA will host a Fall Fest for kids from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. There will be free activities including cornhole, apple archery, trick-or-treat tables, a spooky scavenger hunt and more.

Punkin’ Chunkin’ Fall Festival 2024 — Saturday, Oct. 19

The 2024 Punkin’ Chunkin’ Fall Festival will be back for another year on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Bald Eagle State Park in Howard. The Howard Fire Company’s one-day festival will feature pumpkin launching from catapults, trebuchets and more. In addition to the pumpkin launching, there will be nearly 100 craft vendors, hayrides, food vendors, activities for kids, a pumpkin pie eating contest and more fun. The event is free and open to the public, but donations are accepted and benefit Howard Fire Company #14 and future iterations of the Punkin’ Chunkin’ Fall Festival.

The Good Shepherd Catholic Church Fall Festival will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the church in Port Matilda. There will be food trucks, crafts for sale, kids’ activities, a play area, music and more.

The 2024 Witches Rallye — Saturday, Oct. 19

The 2024 Witches Rallye benefiting the Jana Marie Foundation will be from 1:30 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, throughout Centre County. The annual scavenger hunt organized by the Central PA Region Sports Car Club of America challenges friends and families to take on the timed route through Central Pennsylvania. Scores will be calculated during the free dinner at the end of the scavenger hunt. There will be trophies for the best-scoring teams and top costumes. There will also be raffle tickets for sale. Juniper Village at Brookline is hosting its annual Safe Trick-or-Treat Night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, at Juniper in State College. Juniper residents, their family members and Juniper’s Partners in Caring will be handing out candy. Kids are encouraged to wear a Halloween costume.

Stonebridge Senior Apartments Craft Fair — Saturday, Oct. 26

Stonebridge Senior Apartments in State College is hosting a fall craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. The craft fair is open to the public and there will be knitted goods, greeting cards, snacks, a treasure auction, a silent auction and more.

Talleyrand Fall Fest — Saturday, Oct. 26

The Talleyrand Fall Fest will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, on the Annex side of the park near the Match Factory in Bellefonte. The event is held as a fundraiser for the Bellefonte Area Rotary Club. Funds raised at the festival are allocated to various organizations throughout the community.

The Our Lady of Victory Bazaar will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Our Lady of Victory School in State College. The annual bazaar is open to the public and will have food, baked goods, kids’ games, a yard sale of toys, crafts, entertainment, theme basket raffles and a silent auction.

The Old Gregg School Ghostly Gallop will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Old Gregg School in Spring Mills. The course will be along Sinking Creek Road.

The annual Boalsburg Halloween Celebration will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Boalsburg Heritage Museum in Boalsburg. The Brass Rats will perform at the event. Guests are invited to enjoy hot cider, popcorn, book bingo, face painting, pumpkin decorating and more.

Halloween Costume Parade — Sunday, Oct. 27

Centre Region Parks and Recreation is hosting the 76th annual Halloween Costume Parade on Sunday, Oct. 27. The parade will line up at 6:30 p.m. along Burrowes Avenue between College and Beaver Avenues in downtown State College. Costume judging and prizes will take place at Memorial Field in six different categories.
