BELLEFONTE — The Bellefonte Arts & Crafts Fair is a summer staple that brings together the region’s best artisans, musicians and families for a weekend of creativity and community spirit. This year’s fair, set for Friday, Aug. 1 and Saturday, Aug. 2, promises more fun than ever in the heart of historic downtown Bellefonte.
With artists and vendors lining up the Bellefonte streets, visitors will find a little something for everyone. From handcrafted jewelry and home décor to fine art and functional pottery, the Bellefonte Arts & Crafts Fair promises to deliver. Shoppers can stroll through a vibrant outdoor gallery while enjoying mouthwatering food vendors and free live entertainment on the main stage all day long.
Youth artists between the ages of eight and 17 will have booths set up with their arts and crafts on the Diamond in the center of town from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
Shoppers can browse one-of-a-kind goods under colorful tents, chat with artists about their artistic work and watch live demonstrations of woodturning, crocheting and pottery. With live music filling the air and the scenic charm of Talleyrand Park just steps away, the Bellefonte Arts and Crafts Fair offers a picture-perfect backdrop for summer memories and family fun.
There will be candles, soaps, country crafts, textiles, artisan food, jewelry, photography, painting, pottery, wood and so much more.
The entertainment lineup for 2025 is packed with local favorites and crowd-pleasing talent that highlight Centre County musicians. On Friday, the music kicks off at 11 a.m. with the smooth harmonies of Anchor and Arrow, followed by the genre-bending grooves of Urban Fusion at 12:30 p.m.
At 2 p.m., the JR Mangan Band featuring Veronica will take the stage with their energetic mix of rock and soul, while the Nittany Knights barbershop chorus brings vintage flair at 4 p.m. The evening will close with a bang as Groove Society performs at 7 p.m., delivering high-energy funk, dance and classic hits to keep the crowd moving.
On Saturday, the festivities start bright and early at 10 a.m. with the Bellefonte Community Band, setting a nostalgic tone for the day. At 11:30 a.m., the soulful sounds of Honey Pie take over, followed by the powerful rock of 91 Stitches at 1 p.m. Jazz lovers will enjoy the classic swing stylings of the Keystone Big Band at 2:30 p.m., and the fair wraps up with foot-stomping fun from the Nittany Valley Wranglers at 4 p.m.
Beyond the music and art, families can expect a full range of activities for kids. Roaming performers will keep young minds entertained, while older children can take part in games designed to engage their creativity and their curiosity.
The fair also boasts a variety of food trucks and vendors offering everything from funnel cakes and fresh lemonade to delicious pizza and ethnic cuisine. The fair will provide a shuttle for guests with free parking at Bellefonte Area High School. The shuttle hours are from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The shuttle bus will drop guests off at Bishop and Allegheny Streets and then at Spring and High Streets.
