LORETTO — On May 5, Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference held its Track and Field Championships at St. Francis University in Loretto.
Bellefonte High School girls took 2nd place out of 18 schools and set two school records in the 4×400 and 4×800 relays.
In the girls 4×400 relay, Addison Fry, Kaylee Knepp, Althea Helms and Madyson Miller earned first place with a time of 4:03.54 and broke a school record from 1983.
In the girls 4×8090 relay, Althea Helms, Anna Tyson, Madyson Miller and Addison Fry earned first place with a time of 9:25.72. This time broke a school record and they are currently ranked No. 6 in the state among AAA schools.
