BELLEFONTE — The Sheetz located at 2850 Benner Pike, Bellefonte, reopened for service on Dec. 20, 2024, after a complete rebuild.
The Sheetz closed on July 7, 2024, after 13 years of business. The building was then demolished and reconstructed in just over five months. The new building is 6,139-square-feet, has both indoor and outdoor seating options, gas pumps for 12 vehicles, a drive through and a car wash.
The opening came just in time for an increase in travel for the holiday season. According to AAA, the average price of regular gasoline on the day of the opening in Bellefonte, State College and surrounding areas was $3.36, though it dropped five cents on Christmas.
