BELLEFONTE — The Bellefonte boys soccer team went 2-1 over five days, including a 9-0 win at Philipsburg-Osceola on Oct. 15, before entering the final week of the regular season.
The Red Raiders also beat Clearfield, 5-2, on Oct. 13 at home and lost to Hollidaysburg, 3-0, on Oct. 17 at home in a matchup of the two top District 6 Class 3A teams.
Seth Caton scored five goals for Bellefonte against P-O, including three in the first half, and assisted on the first goal by Keegan Timblin. The Red Raiders (11-3) scored six goals in the first half and outshot the Mounties 35-2 in the game.

“It was a good night moving the ball around and getting guys involved,” Bellefonte coach Scott Martz said. “Our defense did a great job not letting them get much offense at all and kept the ball pushed up in out half of the offensive zone.
“We put a lot of shots on the (P-O) goalkeeper (Camden Henchel) and he played an outstanding game, denying us open looks. Once we settled in and began to move the ball through our zones the goals started to come. It was a good game that everyone got in the game. It was nice to see our JV team finish the game out strong for us.”
Timblin scored three goals to lead the Red Raiders from 2-0 down to a win over Clearfield. Stabinger scored one goal and assisted on another. Caton scored the final goal off of an assist from Jamin Ondrasik.
