STATE COLLEGE — Juniper Village at Brookline, a senior living community, announced in a statement on Wednesday, July 24, that Caitlin Rokavac was named a WTWH Healthcare 2024 Future Leader in the senior housing and senior living category.
The WTWH Healthcare 2024 Future Leader is an award by WTWH Media aimed at identifying and honoring emerging leaders in the health care industry who demonstrate innovation, leadership and a commitment to advancing health care practices and technology. The WTWH Healthcare Network covers the $7.6 trillion business of senior housing and care, according to its website.
Rokavac, who works as the connections director for Juniper Village at Brookline, was praised for her “innovative vision and tireless dedication to enhancing senior care (that) have solidified her as a leading light in the industry” in a statement by Juniper Village at Brookline.
Rokavec began as the performing arts coordinator with Juniper and worked in the Broadway Senior program, which created theatrical performance opportunities for residents.
“Beyond her theatrical achievements, Rokavec has meticulously built dynamic activities teams across Juniper Village at Brookline. She has spearheaded invaluable partnerships with local organizations, such as Sock & Buskin Theatre Co. and The Rivet at Discovery Space. These collaborations have enriched residents’ lives, fostering a sense of community and engagement,” the statement shared.
Within her new position as connections director, Rokavec helps encourage resident participation and establish new partnerships for residents to participate in. She oversees activities and programming staff at four Juniper Village at Brookline properties.
“Her unwavering commitment to caregiving, deeply rooted in her personal experience with her grandmother, fuels her determination. Rokavec’s leadership shines through her impressive team retention rates and her knack for empowering her team to innovate and excel. She recognizes individual strengths and provides steadfast support, ensuring her team thrives,” the statement shared.
