STATE COLLEGE — The Centre Area Transportation Authority has announced proposed service change of the XB Route, which can be viewed on the CATA website at catabus.com/proposed-xb-removal/.
Due to low ridership, frequency and the rise in popularity of CATAGO! in Bellefonte, CATA will consider removing the XB. These changes would tentatively go into effect on Aug. 17. Public comment on the proposed service change may be submitted directly on the CATA website. Comments may also be submitted in person by attending a public hearing scheduled for Wednesday, June 28, or by emailing comments@catabus.com or contacting CATA’s Customer Service Center at (814) 238-CATA (2282) during normal business hours. Comments on the change will be accepted through noon on June 29.
The public hearing (with an open house format) to gather comment on the proposed service change will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, at the Bellefonte Borough Building, 236 W. Lamb St., Bellefonte.
