CENTRE COUNTY — The Central PA 4th Fest is an all-day celebration on Friday, July 4, celebrating Independence Day, community and fun.
Take a look at what’s going on during the annual jam-packed event.
- The Porter and East Jordan lots will open for parking at 9 a.m.; arrive early to get ready to celebrate
- Live music will take place all day throughout the celebration, from hometown favorites to crowd-pleasing cover bands, there will be something for everyone with multiple stages and rotating acts
- Firecracker 4K will start at 9 a.m. with a patriotic race through town, race day registration starts at 7 a.m.
- The parade will be at 11 a.m., celebrating local pride with marching bands, floats, fire trucks and more
- The Kid’s Kingdom and vendors will open up at noon for family fun, crafts, food, games and local vendors
- The Community Baseball Game will take place at 5 p.m. inside Medlar Field, a favorite tradition for folks of all ages
- Fireworks, the moment everyone is waiting for, will be at 9:45 p.m., featuring one of the largest displays in the country, synchronized to music
