CENTRE HALL — Children from across the area gathered at Centre Hall Lions Club Park Aug. 3-7 for Beloved Community Camp, a weeklong program focused on friendship, faith and service.

Sponsored by the Centre Hall Council of Churches and Wesley Forest, the camp encourages children to recognize the value of every person as a beloved child of God while learning how love, kindness and compassion can strengthen relationships and communities.
Throughout the week, campers participated in activities designed to build friendships, welcome others and practice caring for one another both at camp and at home. Organizers said the program emphasizes creating a more just and caring community by reducing harm, healing relationships and remaining centered in God’s love.
The camp also fosters lasting connections between counselors, campers and their families, helping build a network of mentors and caring adults to support children as they grow.
