Daniel Methven of Bellefonte was accepted into the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Methven enrolled for the summer 2023 trimester in the Doctor of Chiropractic degree program at Palmer College of Chiropractic’s main campus. The school is the first and largest college in chiropractic careers.

Several local high school graduates made the 2023 spring semester Dean’s List at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre. Brianna Bressler of Aaronsburg, Erica Feese of Port Matilda, Holly Feese of Port Matilda and Anthony Guide of State College were named to the Dean’s List. Students on Wilkes University’s Dean’s List must have a minimum 3.5 grade point average while maintaining at least 12 credits.

Kelly Barr of State College joined the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine Class of 2027 at the institution’s White Coat Ceremony. Barr, along with 115 other future doctors, participated in the school’s 15th annual ceremony to be initiated into the medical profession. Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, located in Scranton, is a member of the Geisinger network.

Owen Zehr of Millheim was named to the spring 2023 Dean’s List at Albright College in Reading. Zehr graduated from Penns Valley Area Junior Senior High School and studied game simulation development during the spring semester. Students on Albright College’s Dean’s List must have a 3.75 or higher GPA while taking at least three letter-graded courses during the semester.

Kalista Butler of Philipsburg was named to the 2023 spring semester President’s List at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire. Butler is majoring in allied health sciences at Plymouth State. To be eligible for the President’s List, students must achieve a 3.7 or better GPA while maintaining at least 12 credits during the semester.
