Move Mix Festival featuring Mohamed Abozekry Sextet

The community block party-styled event at Eisenhower Auditorium is a free event to experience international jazz music and local dance performance.Limited seating will be available, but you are welcome to bring your own folding or camp chair. 

  • 5–7:30 p.m.: Food trucks, outside around Eisenhower Auditorium
  • 5:30 p.m.: DJ Temi, Patio
  • 5:45–6:25 p.m.: Move Mix: Join the Mojah Movement dance performance by Kikora Franklin and Mojah Dance Theatre of Atlanta, Patio
  • 6:30–7:30 p.m.: Mohamed Abozekry Sextet, Loading Dock stage
  • 8 p.m.: Members Afterparty

Friday, Sept. 26

Downtown State College Farmers Market

Farmers Market from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Locust Lane. Every vendor is required to personally produce all of the items that they sell. 

Lemont Village Green Summer Concert

Walker Survivor will be featured at a concert scheduled at Lemont Village Green, 133 Mount Nittany Rd., Lemont from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 27

2025 You Matter 5K Walk/Run/Ride

The You Matter 5k Walk/Run & 10-mile Bike Ride invites both individuals and families to raise funds or pay a $35 registration fee to benefit Pregnancy Resource Clinic and participate in one of the event activities. Registrants are able to participate either in person or on their own. Runners and walkers complete our mapped 5k course through a State College walking path and neighborhood. Timing is available for runners who wish to compete, and medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each category. (M&F – 12 and under, 13-17, 18-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65, 66+)Bikers enjoy a 10-mile bike ride along one of the State College bike paths. This event is not timed. Those unable to walk, run, or bike are invited to bring a rocking chair and “rock” through the duration of the event. Refreshments and family friendly activities will be available throughout the day at Stepping Stones Community Church, 848 Science Park Rd., State College.

Bellefonte Farmers Market

Bellefonte Farmers Market will be held Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to noon at the gravel lot adjacent to Centre Peace, 3047 Benner Pike, Bellefonte. Locally produced and raised items will include frozen meats, live plants, dried florals and fresh eggs.

North Atherton Farmers Market

North Atherton Farms Market will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Home Depot parking lot, 2615 Green Tech Drive, State College. NAFM is a producers-only market which requires that vendors sell only what they produce, grow or make. In addition to the many small farmers that vend their products at the market, NAFM is also proud to feature local bakeries, specialty food vendors, producers of farm-based products and more.

Sunday, Sept. 28

National Hunting & Fishing Day at Bald Eagle State Park

Join the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, along with partners from Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), PA Game Commission (PGC), Penn State Extension, and Spring Creek Trout Unlimited, for a fun-filled afternoon of free activities celebrating National Hunting and Fishing (NHF) Day at Bald Eagle State Park, 149 Main Park Rd., Howard. The event will be held at Pavilions 3 and 4 on Sunday, Sept. 28 from  noon to 4 p.m. Participants must arrive by 11:30a.m. to find parking and be ready to begin at noon. Pre-registration is required. Please register all individuals planning to attend the event. No fishing or hunting license is needed to participate in the event. All equipment is provided for program activities. Pre-registered participants will have an opportunity to win prizes through random drawings.

Chamber Music Series

Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard St., Bellefonte, is hosting the Bellefonte Sunday Afternoon Chamber Music Series on Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free. This week’s concert will feature Curtin Family Chamber Ensemble, with David Curtin, Ben Curtin, Hyun Ju Curtin on the piano and Brian Curtin on the violin.

Boalsburg Farmers Market

Boalsburg Farmers Market will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Pennsylvania Military Museum in Boalsburg. Just-picked veggies, fruits, preserves, shrubs, jellies, jams and fruit butters, artisanal breads and baked treats and desserts! Kombucha and water kefirs, pasture-raised meats, local cheeses, cow dairy products—including raw milks. Free-range non-GMO eggs of all types—chicken, duck goose and bantam. Pasture-raised, grass fed meats including fresh-never frozen chicken, assorted poultry, beef, pork, and goat. Take-away foods, authentic Greek fare, wood-fired market pizza and chef-made soups. Central Pa Civil War Round Table

The Central PA Civil War Round Table will have back to back meetings. They will first meet on Tuesday, Sept. 30, for the annual joint meeting of the Central PA CWRT and the PSU George and Ann Richards Civil War Era Center and the following week on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

Wednesday, Oct. 1

Happy Valley Town Series: All-ages Run & Bike Races

This weeknight series of races on Oct. 1 and Oct. 8 begins at 5:30 p.m. at Tussey Mountain. It features short-course trail running and biking races for all ages, a vibrant tent expo with local vedors, live music and food. This is designed for juniors to seasoned athletes. Make a Ghost Portrait

Kids are invited to create ghost portraits with egg cartons at the Centre County Library, 200 N. Allegheny St., Bellefonte, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Register at https://forms.gle/16mwop6q7zi9Mvnx9 because supplies are limited.

Chabad of State College – High Holiday Services

High Holiday services this year will be at the Scholars Hotel, 205 E. Beaver Ave. in downtown State College. Both of the event rooms will be used with the main services in the large room and children’s services in the smaller room. Yom Kippur will be held on Oct. 1. Fast begins at 6:35 p.m. and Kol Nidrei Service is at 6:45 p.m. Morning Service on Oct. 2 will include Morning Service at 10 a.m., Yizkor Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m., Mincha Service at 5 p.m., Neilah Closing Service at 6:25 p.m. and Havdalah Service and Break Fast at 7:32 p.m.
