Murder Mystery Blook Club
Murder Mystery Book Club will discuss the novel We Solve Murders by Richard Osman from 6 to 7 p.m. at Centre County Library, 200 North Allegheny St., Bellefonte. Grease: School Edition
Bellefonte Area Middle School will present Grease: School Edition, a lively, family-friendly adaptation of the beloved classic made famous by the movie “Grease.” Performances begin today, Feb. 26, and continue Friday, Feb. 27 and Saturday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 1 at 2 p.m. in the Bellefonte Area Middle School Auditorium. Beads & Brilliance
Join the Borough of State College from 6 to 9 p.m. at 3 Dots Downtown, 137 E. Beaver Ave., for a fun, festive atmosphere, live entertainment, fabulous buffet, and dancing to celebrate honoring 100 years of Black History Month commemoration. Together, reflect on a century of culture, leadership, and achievements. The Juneteenth Planning Committee will also showcase the 1865 Freedom Legacy Scholarship, the next generation of brilliance, along with local community leaders. Join for Beads (heritage) & Brilliance (achievement). RSVP and cocktail attire is appreciated.
Fish & Chips
Nittany American Legion Post 245 will be offering drive-through fish meals to go. Each meal will include a battered haddock fillet, fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce, and ketchup. The cost of each meal is $15 or $14 if you pre-order at NittanyPost245.org. Meals may be picked up at the Post 1950, Pine Hall Road, State College between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Central PA 250th Independence Day Parade and other Post 245 Programs.
Bellefonte Fish Fry
Bellefonte Friday Night Fish Fry, served by the Bellefonte Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will be held at St. John’s Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, from 4 to 7 p.m. Dinners included baked lemon pepper cod or Yuengling beer battered haddock or panko crusted fried shrimp, choice of three sides – french fries, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, cole slaw, applesauce and a homemade dessert. A la Carte items including haluski and pierogies with butter and onions. Eat in or take out. Dinners are $15 for adults and $7 for children under 12, cash only. Children under 6 are free.
Good Shepherd Fish Dinner
Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 867 Grays Woods Blvd., Port Matilda is hosting a Lenten Fish Dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Dinners are $16 and include baked or fried fish, macaroni & cheese, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw, roll, butter, beverage and dessert. Take out containers are available.
Warriors Mark Fish Fry
Warriors Mark Franklin Volunteer Fire Co., 4571 Fire House Lane, Warriors Mark is hosting a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Baked fish, fried Haddock or fried shrimp with unlimited sides which include macaroni and cheese, cole slaw, stewed tomatoes and French fries. Chicken tenders are also available. Adults $16, Kids 6-12 are $8 children 5 and under are free.
Silver Sneakers Kick-Off
Juniper Village at Brookline, 1930 Cliffside Drive, State College will kick off weekly SilverSneakers classes from 3 to 5 p.m. Classes are free for Juniper residents and SilverSneakers members. Jedi training, a starship bridge and some of the biggest names in sci-fi and anime are all headed to Centre County when the Happy Valley Comic and Collectibles Convention returns to the Nittany Valley Sports Centre from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Feb. 28 and March 1 at Nittany Valley Sports Centre,177 Champion Dr., State College.
