Boalsburg Fire Co. will host its annual Memorial Day weekend carnival starting with wristband night at 6 p.m. for unlimited rides.
Motherhood Out Loud
Sock & Buskin Theatre Company and the Gamble Mill, 160 Dunlop St., Bellefonte, are partnering together for their fourth annual charity performance of a staged reading of Motherhood Out Loud in the comfort of the Speakeasy! Performance is at 7 p.m.; doors open at 6:45 p.m. All proceeds will be donated to The Mommy Shoppe. Guests must be 18+ for this show.

Downtown State College Farmers Market
Local farmers market offers seasonal veggies, local honey, or fresh-baked goods. Everything at the market is grown or produced in Centre County by the people selling it.
Farmers Market on Locust Lane is located on Locust Lane in State College and is open from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Burning Ma’Am
Join us for a weekend of pure Central PA magic from 3 p.m. on Friday to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 23 for the best in local and regional music, immersive art installations, and the legendary Ma’aM hospitality. It is held at Winkelblech Fields, 1104 Pine Creek Rd., Woodward.

Black Moshannon 5K & 10K Walk
Black Moshannon State Park, 4216 Beaver Rd., Philipsburg, is the site of a traditional 10K race and 5K race/walk. Check-in starts at 8 a.m. under the pavilion at the corner of Concession and Black Moshannon Roads. The 5K Run is at 9 a.m., followed by the 5K Walk at 9:15 a.m., and then the 10K Run at 10 a.m. Awards distributed after each race.
North Atherton Farmers Market
The North Atherton Farmers Market is held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Home Depot parking lot, 2615 Green Tech Dr., State College, featuring small farmers, local bakeries, specialty food vendors, producers of farm-based products and more.
Shaver’s Creek 50th Anniversary Celebration
Celebrate the 50th anniversary at Penn State Shaver’s Creek Environment Center, 3400 Discovery Rd., Petersburg. Drop in from 12 noon to 9 p.m. for some or all of this day-long experience where you can explore food trucks and vendors, live music, animal programs, guided walks, connection activities, a campfire and more. The celebration is free but capacity is limited. Register in advance on the Shaver’s Creek website.
Boalsburg Fire Co. Carnival
Boalsburg Fire Co. Carnival Parade Night from 6 to 10 p.m. Parade Line-up begins at 3:30 p.m. and the parade begins at 5 p.m. Food stands will be open by 4 p.m., and the carnival will be open following the parade.

Stars & Stripes Tea + Tour
Return to the Boal Mansion, 163 Boal Estate Dr., Boalsburg, for a patriotic tea party, this time during Memorial Day weekend. All proceeds benefit the Columbus Chapel & Boal Mansion Museum, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Enjoy an elegant tea in the ballroom with live music, then take a special tour through the museum and Columbus Chapel. Tickets are $65 per person and include both the tea and full tour. Doors open at noon. Reservations are required.

Memorial Day Car Show
Antique Automobile Club of America, Allegheny Mountain Region, presents its annual show at Boalsburg’s Pennsylvania Military Museum, 51 Boal Ave., Boalsburg from 9 a,m. to 4 p.m. Classic and antique vehicles 25 to 100 years old will be on display. Prizes will be awarded for registered cars. Held in conjunction with Boalsburg Memorial Day festival. Spectators are free and car registration is a donation. Boalsburg Farmers Market
The Boalsburg Farmers Market will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of the Pennsylvania Military Museum, 51 Boal Ave., Boalsburg. The Boalsburg Farmers Market is a “producers only” farmers market. All products sold at the farmers’ market are locally grown or produced by the vendors that sell them, not by third parties.
Cheers & Charity
Cheers and Charity is an evening dedicated to bringing people together in support of a graduating Bellefonte High School senior. Now in its fourth year, this special event continues its tradition of giving back through the Gamble Mill Good Heart Scholarship. All ticket proceeds go directly toward this meaningful cause in supporting a senior who has overcome hardship. This year’s event will be held from 6–9 p.m. at Gamble Mill, 160 Dunlop St., Bellefonte. The $25 donation includes appetizers and desserts, coffee, tee & water, access to a cash bar, live music from Anchor & Arrow and Eventide, and a raffle with a variety of local donations. Graves on Indian Lane
Matt Maris of Local Historia offers a sneak peak into a powerful Revolutionary War story that occurred in Penns Valley in 1778. Included in the evening will be a screening for the new short film, Graves on Indian Lane. No registration required. This event will be held at Schlow Library’s Community Room, 211 S. Allen St., State College from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
