Pleasant Gap Flea Market

Pleasant Gap Flea Market will be held at the Pleasant Gap Fire Co. carnival grounds, 475 Robinson Lane, Pleasant Gap, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Vendor set up begins at 6 a.m. No reservations needed. Contact Mark at 814-355-2573 for more information.

SCA Community Market

State College Assembly of God Community Market, 2201 University Drive, features fresh, local Amish-grown produce and homemade goods. Open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy seasonal fruits and vegetables harvested at their peak and brought from the farm to you. Browse a selection of baked goods, jams, jellies, and preserves, and take home the fresh flavors of the season.

Tussey Mountain Wingfest

Tussey Mountain Wing fest is held from 5 to 9 p.m. at 341 Bear Meadows Rd., Boalsburg.

Each paid guest through the gate receives one vote ticket which can be used to select your favorite wing vendor of the night. It is also a concert, with this week’s entertainment being Pure Cane Sugar and The Amish Outlaws. Voting ends at 9:30 p.m. with a winner announced by 9:45 p.m. All seven winning restaurants will compete at the finals to determine the Tussey Mountain Wing King.

Friday, July 3

Corner Room 100th Birthday Block Party

The Corner Room is throwing a birthday party “Corner Fest” — a free community block party on Allen Street from 3 to 7 p.m. The afternoon kicks off with a full family fun zone featuring a carousel, face painting, balloon twisting, a Discovery Space activity station, and more. Live entertainment from DJs Tiger and Araelia will keep the energy going throughout the event, with food, drinks, and a festive atmosphere. At 6 p.m., Brass Rats and The Nittany Knights Barbershop Quartet will perform. Throughout the event, The Corner Room will be raising money for the Alpha Fire Company in honor of the community spirit that has always defined Allen Street. Whether it was a first date, a post-game celebration, or just a Tuesday that needed saving, every memory is part of what makes this place a landmark. Downtown State College Farmers Market

The Farmers Market on Locust Lane in State College will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and features seasonal vegetables, local honey, or fresh-baked goods that are grown or produced in Centre County by the people selling it. 

Lemont Village Green Summer Concert 

Lemont Village Green Summer Concert will be held at 133 Mt. Nittany Road. Lemont. This week’s concert featuresMark Brodeon – Catman Dude.Concert is held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. 

Donations collected benefit the next project for granary restoration. The most recent work is finished, with the back exit bridge funding aided by a grant from the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau and Centre Gives donations. If there is light rain, the concert is on, but in cases of thunder and lightning, the concert will be moved to the Granary. Ice cream cones available from Scout Troop 367 starting at 7 p.m. Picnics welcome, bring lawn chairs or blankets.

The Cave-In at Woodward

Live music from 6 to 8 p.m. from Ken Baxter at Woodward Cave, 147 Woodward Wave Dr., Woodward. Featured food truck this week is Joelle Sip & Bites. This is a free music event, rain or shine.

Saturday, July 4

Sunrise & The Spirt of ‘76

Gather at Centre Furnace Mansion, 1001 E. College Ave., State College from 8 to 10 a.m. for a special program and reception honoring the ideals, sacrifices, and stories that shaped our nation. The program will feature traditional Fife and Drum Corps presentation featuring musicians in period inspired attire, flag ceremony, brief talk “Centre County’s Ties to the American Revolution” by Roger Williams, coffee and snacks and the exhibition “When Past Is Prologue,” featuring Revolutionary War-era artifacts from the collection of Richard Pencek.

Firecracker 4K Run/Walk

The 22nd Annual Firecracker 4K will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Wear our best Stars & Stripes! Start is near Beaver Stadium (East Campus). The morning run is just the warm-up for a full day of 4thFest fun, capped off by one of the best fireworks displays in the country.

Kids on Wheels Parade

Kids on Wheels Parade will be held at corner of Locust Lane and Foster Avenue. Bring decorated bikes, scooters, wagons, etc. Line-up at 9:30 a.m., step-off at 10 a.m. Parade ends at Friedman Parklet with yard games, festive activities, cake and watermelon. 

2026 Central Pennsylvania Independence Day Parade

The 2026 Central PA Independence Day Parade is a special collaboration between the Nittany American Legion Post 245 and Freedom Rising USA. Parade starts at 11 a.m. in Downtown State College.

Wam Bam Mountain Jam

Live music from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. at 1547 E. Mountain Rd., Port Matilda. Food trucks will be on site. Tents, campers, RVs are welcome for overnight stay. No hookups. Free, open to the public, and all ages welcome.

4th Fest Fireworks

Get ready for the most explosive birthday party in State College history! This July 4, we’re lighting up the skies over Happy Valley with a world-class fireworks display to celebrate America’s Semiquincentennial at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

North Atherton Farmers Market

North Atherton Farmers Market is held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Home Depot parking lot, 2615 Green Tech Drive., State College. It is a producers-only market which requires that vendors sell only what they produce, grow or make.

Woodward Cave Farmers Market

A weekly farmers market showcasing the very best in local growers, artisans, and bakers. 

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Woodward Cave, 147 Woodward Cave Dr., Woodward. Rain or shine.

Summer Concert

The summer concert series, sponsored by the Bellefonte Historical and Cultural Association, will be held at 7 p.m. in Talleyrand Park, Bellefonte. In case of rain, the concert will be moved to Trinity Methodist Church, corner of West Howard Street and North Spring Street. This week’s concert is duo Anchor & Arrow.

Bellefonte Community Band Concert 

South Hills School of Business & Technology, 480 Waupelani Dr., State College announces the fifth event of the 2026 Music Picnic Series with free entertainment beginning at 6 p.m. on the north lawn with Bellefonte Community Band. Celebrate America’s 250th birthday on July 5 with an “America 250” themed concert.Bring blankets and chairs. Grounds open at 4 p.m.; music starts at 6 p.m. and lasts until 7:30 p.m. “Dogs on the Run” hot dog cart for dogs and snacks will be available.

Civil War Roundtable

Civil War Roundtable will meet at South Hills Business School, 480 Waupelani Dr., State College at 7 p.m. Jim Pula will speak on “The 11th Corps at Chancellorsville.” All members and anyone interested in joining the Central PA Civil War Round Table are encouraged to attend. Boalsburg Farmers Market

The Boalsburg Farmers Market is held from 2 to 6 p.m. outdoors in the parking lot of The Pennsylvania Military Museum, 51 Boal Ave., Boalsburg. It is a “producers only” farmers market.

Wednesday, July 8

Philipsburg Heritage Days

Join us downtown on Front Street tonight through July 11 to celebrate Philipsburg’s rich history and community spirit with this year’s incredible theme: “Let Freedom Ring – 250th Anniversary.” The Grand Parade will be held at noon on Saturday, July 11 followed by a lighted Foam Party and a massive fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m.

POLLINATORS! The Musical

Headed downtown to the Central PA Festival of the Arts in July? Be sure to catch a performance of POLLINATORS! The Musical, a 30-minute musical puppet show about the unique lifestyles and habits of some of our native pollinators. Created and presented by master gardeners from the Snetsinger Butterfly Garden, this award-winning show’s toe-tapping tunes and fascinating facts can be enjoyed by audiences of all ages. Performances will be at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at State College Presbyterian Church, 132 W. Beaver Ave. Free admission.

Making Centre County Roads Safer

Centre County Metropolitan Planning Organizations is holding a free webinar starting at 7 p.m. to discuss a planning project for improved sidewalks and reducing lane departure crashes in Centre County. Learn about the work that is being conducted because of a Safe Streets and Roads for All Grant. Register at www.crcog.net/SS4A.
