The ceremony was co-hosted by the Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County at 100 Oakwood Ave., State College, and marked a milestone for CPVETS by expanding its emergency veterinary services in the region.

“This new location represents a step forward in our staff’s capacity to provide lifesaving care to an increasing number of pets across central Pennsylvania,” Andrea Loar, medical director at CPVETS, said.

“Expanded space to treat patients and upgraded technology at this new location will create a better experience for pet owners and continue our mission of offering the highest level of emergency veterinary care.”

According to the press release, The new facility features:

  • Five consultation rooms and two comfort rooms

  • Advanced, climate-controlled kennel equipment with DRC lighting
  • Two surgical suites
  • Separate ICU areas for outpatients, large dogs, small dogs and hospitalized cats
  • Two specialized isolation suites to prevent cross-contamination
  • Upgraded imaging technology, including a new digital X-ray system and handheld ultrasound unit
