UNIVERSITY PARK — “Dancing with the Stars: Live!” is making an appearance at the Bryce Jordan Center on Thursday, Jan. 23, after the shows last year’s sold-out tour with a brand-new production.

Tickets for the show are on sale now and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

While the cast for the live show is subject to change, professional dancers for Dancing with the Stars will hit the stage along with some celebrity guests. Some of the pros featured includes Emma Slater, Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, Britt Stewart, Daniella Karagach, Gleb Savchenko, Pasha Pashkov and Rylee Arnold.

“Dancing with the Stars: Live!” also announced that actress and Emmy Award winner, Mandy Moore, will return to the tour to direct and choreograph again.

“Directing this tour is one of my favorite times of the year,” Moore remarked in a statement. “I have a long-standing history with the DWTS brand and these dancers, it’s like returning home to family. The collaboration with these world-class performers presents an amazing opportunity to highlight their inimitable talent, their athleticism and what truly makes the artists.”

The upcoming tour is produced by Faculty Productions in association with BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions and is promoted by both Live Nation and NS2.

“It is such an honor to be able to produce the DWTS live tour once again and get to collaborate with the sensational pro dancers, celebs and creative team to bring this show to life,” Jared Paul, a veteran manager and producer with Faculty Productions, said. “We love getting to see fans of all ages fill the venues and get to experience all the excitement that DWTS has to offer. We at Faculty promise to deliver a brand-new next-level show in 2025 that is sure to bring the ballroom to life in the fan’s hometown.”

Hometown fans’ excitement is one of the very reasons Happy Valley residents have been tuned in to the ongoing season 33 of the ABC hit show. Penn State alumnus and Olympic medalist Stephen Nedoroscik first made waves after taking home the bronze individually and for Team USA in gymnastics at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Now he’s stealing the hearts of millions competing on this season of DWTS with pro partner Rylee Arnold.

Many tune into the hit show every Tuesday, and now the Centre County community has the opportunity to witness the action at the live tour when it comes to BJC on Thursday, Jan. 23.

“Dancing with the Stars is massively popular with millions of fans watching our TV show each week, yet so few are able to come to Hollywood and secure a coveted seat in our live studio audience,” said Ryan O’Dowd, the Executive Vice President of Entertainment and music at BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions and BBC Studios Executive Producer for DWTS. “With the DWTS Tour, we’re thrilled to unlock a rare and unique opportunity for our fans to experience live and in person the magic they see each week on TV. Watching the TV show is brilliant, but when you see gravity-defying feats right in front of you and feel the exhilaration of some of the most powerful performances ever seen on the dancefloor, it’s a whole new phenomenon.”

While the Nittany Lions men’s and women’s basketball teams have been calling BJC home since the mid-90s, the multipurpose arena has ramped up in terms of hosting major entertainment and big headliners. According to BJC, the venue was globally recognized in 2018 after ranking second in the world in concert and event tickets being sold among university venues.

In 2024 alone, BJC has brought in names such as Travis Scott, Theo Von, the Harlem Globetrotters, Zach Bryan, Jeff Dunham, Drake, Kacey Musgraves, Lil Yachty, Jelly Roll and Zach Williams with the already sold-out Cody Johnson to perform in November.

Zach Bryan’s “The Quittin Time Tour” broke records at BJC, attracting about 15,950 fans on March 12, 2024. Comparatively, Metallica previously held the record for attendance with 15,316 fans at the Oct. 20, 2018, show and Shania Twain brought in about 15,274 people on Dec. 19, 1998.

Upcoming concerts and entertainment at BJC includes A Day to Remember on Wednesday, Oct. 30, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra on Thursday, Nov. 21, Cirque Du Soleil from Thursday, March 27, through Sunday, March 30, Kane Brown on Thursday, May 1 and more.
