- Penn State set school records for offensive yards, with 718, and first downs, with 40, in the Kent State game. The Nittany Lions racked up 409 yards passing and 309 rushing.
- Tyler Warren completed a pass for a touchdown, caught a touchdown pass, totaled 50 receiving yards and also had a 16-yard run out of the wildcat formation.
- Quarterback Drew Allar accounted for four touchdowns on Saturday, including touchdown passes to Warren, Liam Clifford and Omari Evans as well as a 5-yard run in the second quarter.
- Nicholas Singleton ran 11 times for 81 yards and Kaytron Allen ran 11 times for 66 yards. Singleton also caught the 17-yard touchdown pass from Warren and had 103 all-purpose yards in the game.
- Wide receiver Julian Fleming caught two passes for 60 yards and went over the 1,000-yard mark for his career and now has 1,026.
- Wide receiver Omari Evans caught four passes for a career high 116 yards and a 59-yard touchdown. It was his first 100+ yard day.
- The Penn State defense did not allow a passing yard in the second half and only 18 for the game. This was partly due to both of Kent State’s top quarterbacks leaving the game due to injuries. Kent State did not fare much better on the ground, gaining just 48 yards. The Lions also allowed just six first downs.
- Kicker Sander Sahaydak was 7-for-7 on extra-point attempts and is now 15-for-15 for the season.
- Beside the 147 yards gained running by Singleton and Allen, Pribula got 66 yards, Cam Wallace 39, Allar 26 and Quinton Martin 24.
- During the game, 10 different receivers caught passes for Penn State with Khalil Dinkins, Singleton, Liam Clifford and Evans all scoring touchdowns.
- For the season so far, Penn State is averaging 41 points per game with 255 yards rushing and 282 yards passing per game. The Lions are averaging 8.1 yards per play.
- The second quarter has been the most productive so far for the Lions with 54 points, followed by the third and fourth with 28 points each.
- Allar is completing 70% of his passes for an average of 243 yards per game and eight touchdowns.
- Jaylen Reed leads the team in tackles with 22, followed by Kevin Winston, 13, Tony Rojas, 12 and Abdul Carter, 12.
- Warren leads the team in receiving with 226 yards and two touchdowns on 16 receptions. Omari Evans is second with 205 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions with Harrison Wallace III is third with 146 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions.
- Kickoff for the game at home on Saturday, Sept. 28, against Illinois is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on NBC.
