— Redshirt junior offensive lineman Olaivavega Ioane has been named to three All-American teams, the FWAA Second Team, Walter Camp Second Team and Associated Press Second Team. He was also named to the first team by CBS Sports and On3 and second team by the Athletic and Sports Illustrated.
—Kaytron Allen has also been named to multiple All-American teams. He was on the Second Team AFCA and Third Team Associated Press.
—Loane and Allen were named on the All-Big Ten First Team, while Amare Campbell, Dai Dennis-Sutton and Gabriel Nwosu were all named to the third team defense.
—New head coach Matt Campbell has made 10 additions to the Penn State football staff for the 2026 season: Taylor Mouser, offensive coordinator, Ryan Clanton, offensive line, Deon Broomfield, secondary, Skip Brabenec, chief of staff, Derek Hoodjer, GM, Aaron Hillman, sports performance, Reid Kagy, strength and conditioning, Brandon Pietrzk, assistant strength and conditioning, Trent Slattenow, player personnel, and Jack Griffith, recruiting assistant.
—Penn State has only played Clemson one time before, the 1987 Citrus Bowl, won by Clemson, 35-10.
—Nicholas Singleton, with an 11-yard touchdown run at Rutgers, broke the Penn State career record for rushing touchdowns, 44, and total touchdowns, 54.
—For the season, Kaytron Allen finished with 1,303 yards and 15 touchdowns, while Singleton finished with 549 and 13 touchdowns. Singleton also added 219 yards receiving and 145 in kickoff returns.
—Ethan Grunkemeyer threw for 1,079 yards and 6 touchdowns with 4 interceptions. He completed 100 of 144 passes.
—Dennis-Sutton led the team with 6.5 sacks and 10 tackles for loss.
—This will be Penn State’s second appearance in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl. The Lions edged Boston College 31-30 in overtime in 2014.
