Pumpkin Festival — Oct. 6-7
The Arboretum at Penn State’s annual Pumpkin Festival will last from 6-9 p.m. at University Park on Oct. 6 and from 3 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 7 with a jack-o’-lantern illumination, light displays, games and crafts.
Boalsburg Renaissance Faire — Oct. 7
The second annual Boalsburg Renaissance Faire will take place at the Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion Museum in Boalsburg from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7. There will be demonstrations, food, museum tours, live animals, activities, music and dancing, crafts and more. Admission is $10 per person, and children two and younger are free. All proceeds will go towards the Columbus Chapel and the Boal Mansion Museum.
Music at the Advent: Harvest Home — Oct. 7
Music at the Advent: Harvest Home is a fall festival with concerts featuring the Bellefonte Community Band and Richard Sleigh. The festival is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Advent Church in Bellefonte. The Advent Historical Society is hosting the event to celebrate the autumn harvest season with crafts, kids activities, homemade preserves, baked goods and more.
Boots, Band and Barn — Oct. 7
Housing Transitions is hosting Boots, Band and Barn on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 6-10 p.m. in Port Matilda. The barn party will have food from Pine Grove Hall and Pennwood Hearth and Home, music from Adam and the Armadillos, a mechanical bull, line dancing and auctions. The event is located at 4082 Buffalo Run Road. Tickets can be purchased through the Housing Transitions website.
Dutch Fall Fest — Oct. 7-8
The Dutch Fall Fest will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 7 and 8 on the streets of historic Aaronsburg. The festival, hosted by Haines Township, offers music, arts and crafts, produce, vendors, children’s activities, festival food and more. Admission and parking are free.
Wasson Farm Fall Fests — Oct. 7-8 and 14-15
The Wasson Farm Fall Fest will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in State College. The farm will have hayrides, pumpkin picking, a corn maze, wine tasting, barrel train rides, food and more.
Family Friendly Fall Harvest Fest — Oct. 8
Legion in the Woods Inc. is hosting a family friendly fall festival from noon to 6 p.m. at Nittany American Legion Post 245 in State College. The event is open to members and the public. There will be raffles, food, games, free family pictures and more. The festival is cash only.
Good Shepherd Catholic Fall Festival — Oct. 21
Good Shepherd Catholic Church is holding a Fall Festival from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, in Port Matilda. The free event will have activities for children and shopping for adults with baked goods, knitted items, household goods, raffle gift baskets, food trucks and more.
Punkin’ Chunkin’ Fall Festival — Oct. 21
The one-day festival will be filled with pumpkin launching, food concessions, craft vendors, hayrides, children’s activities and a pumpkin pie eating contest. The event will take place at Bald Eagle State Park in Howard.
Harvest Fest — Oct. 22
State College Alliance Church is hosting its Harvest Fest, an annual celebration of the fall season, from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22, in State College. There will be food trucks, live music, games, inflatables, bonfires with s’mores and more.
Fall Arts & Crafts Fair — Oct. 27-28
Christ Community Church in State College is hosting a Fall Arts & Crafts Fair Oct. 27-28. The two-day festival will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days. There will be food, arts and crafts and bounce houses.
Milesburg United Methodist Church’s Fall Fest — Oct. 28
Milesburg United Methodist Church is hosting its Fall Fest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, in Milesburg. The free event will take place in the church’s parking lot and yard, kicking off with a bicycle parade down Church Street. The fall fest will feature food, games, crafts and more.
Halloween Parade — Oct. 29
The 75th Annual Centre Region Parks and Recreation Halloween Costume Parade is returning to downtown State College on Sunday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 p.m. All ages and costumes are welcome, with a costume judging contest at State College Area High School’s Memorial Field.
Our Lady of Victory Bazaar — Nov. 4
From 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., this annual bazaar is open to the public and features food, games, entertainment, theme baskets, crafts, a silent auction and baked goods. The event will be held at 800 Westerly Parkway, State College.
