SHIRLEYSBURG — The Willow + Well Foundation invites families and community members to the second annual Fall for Mount Union Community Fest on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Mount Union Airport in Shirleysburg.

Admission is free, and most children’s attractions will be offered at no cost.

The festival will feature food trucks, craft vendors, a community yard sale, a petting zoo, bounce houses, a hay and corn play area, arts and crafts, face painting, and games. Visitors can enjoy a day of fall fun while shopping with vendors and connecting with neighbors.

Huntingdon’s own Jewels of the Desert troupe will present an Egyptian belly dancing Performance at 1 p.m.

Following a strong turnout at last year’s inaugural festival, organizers are bringing the community together again with an emphasis on accessible family fun. The event reflects Willow + Well Foundation’s mission of neighbor-to-neighbor care and is made possible through the support of local businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners.

This year’s platinum sponsors include The Spennati Family, Keshia’s Kreations, Patriot Disposal, Shannon Covert, and Hockenberry Event Rentals. The venue was generously donated by the Mount Union Fire Company to ensure this event was able to be brought back to the community for a second year. Community State Bank and Renewal by Anderson also contributed to this year’s festival, their support helps provide attractions, equipment, and resources for the festival.

Families from Mount Union and surrounding communities are invited to come together for a day of food, shopping, entertainment, and fall activities. Food and vendor purchases are available separately from the festival’s free admission.
