Gazette offers scavenger-type contest for month of February
STATE COLLEGE — Due to the recent success and popularity of offering a scavenger hunt to readers in December’s Holiday Hunt, The Centre County Gazette is offering a similar contest for the month of February.
Readers can take a few minutes out of their busy lives to relax with a fun game — and possibly win a prize as well!
The Gazette’s Valentine Holiday Hunt begins in this week’s edition, which can be found in the usual places throughout Centre County.
Readers can scour the pages of The Gazette to find hidden Valentine icons in advertisements throughout the publication.
It’s simple.
Look through the newspaper, search through the ads to find the icons and then write them down on the entry form that you will find on this page. This form will also appear in future February editions.
There are 10 ads in every December edition with a hidden icon:
- Feb. 5 — Candy heart
- Feb. 12 — Letter
- Feb. 19 — Rose
- Feb. 26 — Cupid’s Arrow
Every time you find the ad with the hidden icon, write down the name of the advertiser and the page number where the ad was located.
At the end of the month, mail your completed form to Gazette Holiday Hunt, 401 S. Allen St., Suite 101, State College, PA 16801. You may also drop your form off at our office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Forms must be received by March 11. The winner will be chosen from the qualified entries received and announced on our Facebook page, @thecentrecountygazette on March 12. It will also be announced in print in our March 19 edition.
Only one entry per household is permitted, and no copies will be accepted. Prizes must be picked up at our Allen Street office.
